A Child's Prayer

Hello there God, remember me? I'd like to talk, if you are free I'd like to ask you for some things, Like brighter stars, and fairy wings Kinder brothers, sweets for dinner Mum says can she please be thinner? No more homework, blooming flowers, A swimming pool, and super powers. I guess these things make me seem greedy, When there are many far more needy. God for them this day I pray That tears and hunger fade away. Help every child to find a home, And no-one ever be alone. May all wars end, forever cease, And from this day all lands know peace. I know this seems an awful lot, It's such a great big job you've got, But with my child like faith I pray, Please God may this be done today. Amen.
